This extensions will prompt you to remove any other extensions that we found as being broken and unmaintained.

We do expect that others will suggest new extensions to be added to the list but we will ask them to provide a link or two for supporting their claim.

If you are an extension author please do not use this as an excuse for boosting your extension in detriment or a "competing" one. Over years we learnt that projects come and go as teaming up does not always work with humans.

We do hope that this approach will make vscode a better place, especially as Microsoft avoided investing in improvement of the user experience of the Marketplace, assuming that more is better. In that area we do think that less, is more. Less junk, more productivity.

    While it took me one or two hours to make this extension and to release it, I do not want it to be "Sorin's list of undesirable vscode extensions" and I want to make it as open as possible, allowing others to contribute and help with its maintenance.

    Having more involved would also help making decisions when we would have to remove an extension from the uninstall list.

    If we do not list the extensions that we detect for removal in README it is unlikely that people will trust the extension to do good things.

    Current list is at https://github.com/42picky/octarine/blob/main/src/extensionConflicts.ts#L5-L11 but I am wondering if it would not be a good idea to move that list into a json file and get it directly from github, so we would not need to release extension again when we add a new entry.
