LATAM Containers Roadshow

This is the official repository of assets related to LATAM Containers Roadshow, an all-day customer-facing event to highlight our Container Services (Amazon EKS, ECS, ROSA and ECR) for customers from Latin America. The event is a combination of presentations, customer and partner showcases, and hands-on workshops, with content ranging from level 100 to 300.

    AWS recently announced the end of support for Python 3.6 runtime for AWS Lambda. This will generate the following error during the AWS CloudFormation stack creation:

We recommend you use the new runtime (python3.9) while creating or updating functions.     • Update the CloudFormation stack to included the additional automations to install Git LFS
    • Simplify the CloudFormation stack to avoid unnecessary commands (ex. sudo)
    • Update the CloudFormation to use bigger EC2 instance sizes

    Update workshops for Git LFS support

    Description:

    In order to store large files, such as PDF of the presentation decks, the Git LFS extension was enabled. As a side-effect, the workshops instructions need to be updated to include the installation of the Git LFS extension at the AWS Cloud9 environment, or add this extra step into the AWS CloudFormation template.
