  • Deactivate angle shift

    Deactivate angle shift

It is currently possible to shift the angle of view for the map, and, well, it does not really work: https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/923008/157638916-7afe7e8a-ac10-4edb-ac2c-da83fffde483.mp4 :)

I think the options should probably be disabled.

Or it should work, but really work: it could be a fun way to compare different elevations of different places. Or even see how different is the angle of the curvature of Earth between places (not very useful but weird to think about: with the planet as a reference, by “up” and ”down” is not the same than other people in other places).

  • Stateful URLs

    Stateful URLs

Allow a user to share their current view with others. This would be tricky because of the way images are currently placed on the map--stored on a canvas, then added to the map. But if we moved toward having an offscreen map and copy the area from there it would be easier to share a URL.

  • Add multiple copies of an area

Add multiple copies of an area

Allow the user to add multiple copies of an area once they draw a shape on the map. Would make more sense after adding rotation (#1) and allowing repositioning of areas on the map.
