A CLI to stream movies, TV shows etc. from your terminal, for free.

Installation

Install streaminal globally with npm

npm install -g streaminal

Requirements

Streaminal requires 32 bit VLC media player. Download here.

Usage

Simply type "streaminal" in your terminal.

> streaminal

? Select a file to play >
> Playing...

How it works

Streaminal scrapes The Pirate Bay for the entered search query.
It then extracts the magnet link for each result, and streams the selected torrent using WebTorrent.
Files are temporarily downloaded in the temp folder, and deleted on every run.

    When the search query is not found the streaminal gets exited, I think it should be like trying another search query a user may spell the wrong mistakenly.

    as we know the methods currently used are somehow accessing risky part of the web, why dont we consider adding a vpn like openVPN to the application? as well, why not give an option to keep the downloaded file? ( justice to the data spent in downloading it ;) )
