  • v0.3.0(May 10, 2022)

This release builds on the previous releases, as well as fixes bugs. The “Fun Facts” page is now the “Tips & Tricks” page. The daily challenge was changed to “Fishing Challenge” to signify it’s not specific to any day, as well as moved to the home page. The Tips & Tricks page has a list of tips and tricks beneficial to both new and experienced fishers, as well as information about the difference between ice and summer fishing. This fish selected is still randomly chosen when the browser is reloaded. Fish not local to Wisconsin have had their data removed from the Fish page. This page also displays real images of the fish when the original picture is clicked. Clicking on the image again toggles it back to the original picture. Link colors on the home page have been updated to match the rest of the website. Users will now only see fish they search for when the results are returned. The Lakes & Rivers page now have links to the fish commonly found that leads the user to the fish page and automatically searches for the fish. Blurry lake and river images have been replaced with larger images. The images on this page no longer have headers. Clicking on the images displays a geographical image of the lake or river, and toggles back when clicked again. The Lakes & Rivers page also allows the user to see lakes and rivers based on the directional quadrant of the state, as well as an option to view them all. The lakes and rivers are hidden until a selection is made, and automatically toggle between hidden and visible when a new selection is made. The resources page has been updated to include additional resources used for research.

  • v0.2.0(May 3, 2022)

This release builds on the last one while fixing some issues. The website now has a responsive design, so it will work on any screen size. The home page has now been updated to have a cleaner look and inform the user the purpose of the website. The lakes and rivers page now displays popular rivers and lakes in Wisconsin with some extra bits on information about them. This page uses the weather API to populate it. The feature to search weather by zip code is still present. The fish species page now displays some common fish throughout the waters of Wisconsin. The ability to search through the list is at the top, if the user does not want to scroll. The fish API is used to populate the scientific names of this page and the custom list made is used to populate the rest. The fun facts page now displays a random fish for the user to try and go catch. Resource page is present to provide links of other websites used.
