Overview

Getting Started with Create React App

This project was bootstrapped with Create React App.

Available Scripts

In the project directory, you can run:

yarn start

Runs the app in the development mode.
Open http://localhost:3000 to view it in the browser.

The page will reload if you make edits.
You will also see any lint errors in the console.

yarn test

Launches the test runner in the interactive watch mode.
See the section about running tests for more information.

yarn build

Builds the app for production to the build folder.
It correctly bundles React in production mode and optimizes the build for the best performance.

The build is minified and the filenames include the hashes.
Your app is ready to be deployed!

See the section about deployment for more information.

yarn eject

Note: this is a one-way operation. Once you eject, you can’t go back!

If you aren’t satisfied with the build tool and configuration choices, you can eject at any time. This command will remove the single build dependency from your project.

Instead, it will copy all the configuration files and the transitive dependencies (webpack, Babel, ESLint, etc) right into your project so you have full control over them. All of the commands except eject will still work, but they will point to the copied scripts so you can tweak them. At this point you’re on your own.

You don’t have to ever use eject. The curated feature set is suitable for small and middle deployments, and you shouldn’t feel obligated to use this feature. However we understand that this tool wouldn’t be useful if you couldn’t customize it when you are ready for it.

    Logging information from on_command_error as well as anywhere CHANNEL_BOT_LOGS has been commented out needs to be sent to logging channels. For this, the guild on which the logging needs to be performed needs to be identified and then sent to that server's logging channels only.

    After fetching Instagram posts, the following warning is thrown. This isn't fatal and does not cause any issues, but does clutter up the logs. I am unsure about the origin of this issue, so I cannot add more details at the moment.

    Combine bot-aws.py and bot-heroku.py into a single bot.py

    There are 2 scripts to run the bot, one for AWS and Heroku respectively. The reason for this is that both of them have different paths for chromedriver. It would be better if there was a way to combine them into a single bot.py that could use the correct path based on the service being hosted on.

    On Heroku, the chromedriver and chrome paths need to be set to the following

    CHROMEDRIVER_PATH="/app/.chromedriver/bin/chromedriver"
GOOGLE_CHROME_BIN="/app/.apt/usr/bin/google-chrome"

    Additionally, the webdriver needs to have an additional argument executable_path and an additional chrome option set

    chrome_options.binary_location = GOOGLE_CHROME_BIN
driver = webdriver.Chrome(executable_path=CHROMEDRIVER_PATH, options=chrome_options)

    On AWS, none of these are required since chromedriver (and chrome, I think) are on path.

    Add a command that lets you retrieve information about faculty. Should allow you to list names of professors and their email addresses based on course as well as branch. For example, pes.faculty cse could list all the professors in CSE and pes.faculty cse daa could list all the CSE professors taking up DAA. Additionally, incorporate campus choice into this as well - pes.cse faculty rr cse daa and so on.

    This would obviously mean that this list would have to be hardcoded (as well as updated and maintained every semester since the course names can keep changing). Any suggestions to automate this task are welcome, although I do not think this is possible in any way.
