Quick setup

Install @nuxtjs/partytown!

yarn add @nuxtjs/partytown # or npm install @nuxtjs/partytown

Add it to the modules section of nuxt.config.ts

Add type: 'text/partytown' attribute to any scripts you want to be handled by partytown.

Configuration

Partytown supports a number of options, which you can pass in your nuxt.config.ts file:

GTM with partytown does not work

I'm trying to use Google Tag Manager with Partytown and Nuxt 3.

It works when I disable Partytown, so GTM + GA is configured correctly. I see all event and stuff pop up
Nothing happens when I enable Partytown. No Events in GTM, nothing in GA, dataLayer empty

I then use window.dataLayer.push({ event: 'pageView' }) --> nothing happens I see that partytown correctly adds the scripts with text/partytown-x to head

I've tried another head implementation:

Both versions work, as long as I disable text/partytown. As soon as I enable partytown, It seems nothing is happening at all. I know that the GTM Debugger seems not to work with Partytown, but I don't see anything happen, also not in GA.

I've set things up according to this docs and your readme (which is incomplete on gtm)

I can't figure out what is wrong as partytown should be more or less a "drop-in", not requiring further config.

Example of how to use this module

This module look awesome, and is just what I need as I have multiple third party script running on my site. I am however a bit confused as to how I actually use it with Nuxt 3.

e.g. I have this Crisp Chat module that I'd like to implement. This is the code I get from Crisp. How would I implement such script?

$crisp example and other does not work

Hi, very cool feature, but I failed to implement any example, even direct copy - paste... Nuxt 3, In console log I can see worker, but can't see chat button, also window.$crisp return a strange function instead of the $crisp object, I tried call this function like window.$crisp() -> undefined

[Question] Error when nuxt/pwa module is used

Hi and thanks for partytown integration for nuxt!

When I tried to use this module with nuxt2 project (that also has @nuxt/pwa module), sometimes I see 404 error saying that /~partytown/partytown-sandbox-sw.html file couldn't be found. I guess this is because they are both registered at the same root scop, so only one of them is working.

I am a noob at service workers, so I was wandering, maybe you could help to find out how to have both of them? :)

Vite CLI

The default dev server port is now 5173, with the preview server starting at 4173.

The default dev server host is now localhost instead of 127.0.0.1.

Compatibility

Vite no longer supports Node v12, which reached its EOL. Node 14.18+ is now required.

Vite is now published as ESM, with a CJS proxy to the ESM entry for compatibility.

The Modern Browser Baseline now targets browsers which support the native ES Modules and native ESM dynamic import and import.meta.

JS file extensions in SSR and lib mode now use a valid extension (js, mjs, or cjs) for output JS entries and chunks based on their format and the package type.

Architecture changes

Vite now avoids full reload during cold start when imports are injected by plugins in while crawling the initial statically imported modules (#8869).

Vite uses ESM for the SSR build by default, and previous SSR externalization heuristics are no longer needed.

Crisp Chat not showing up

Hi,

Thanks for the work on this plugin. I am trying to integrate Crisp with my Nuxt3 site. Below is my nuxt.config.ts file. I followed the instructions from the README but I am still running into issues. I have a question out with the Crisp team for help as well.

Does Nuxt not do well with third-party chat apps? Almost everything I've tried has not worked. Any help would be appreciated, I'm not even sure where to look for troubleshooting.

Google optimize doesn't work

Hi im trying to implement Google Optimize to nuxt3 using partytown. I've implement script adding new plugin to nuxt3:
