PhaseSMP Bot

This is a discord bot used on the PhaseSMP Discord Server (A private Minecraft survival server)

Made with DiscordJS Required Packages:

  • discord-api-types
  • discord.js
  • express
  • @discord.js/builders
  • @discord.js/rest

Coded and ran on a replit web server (Just use a website pinger to keep online)

Steps to run this: -Clone project -Head into deploy-commands.js and change the ClientID and GuildID to your discord bot's clientID and discord server ID -Make a secret varible called tokenKey and put your bot's token -Run project

ANY TIME YOU MAKE CHANGES TO COMMANDS, YOU MUST RUN node deploy-commands.js in order to update the commands

Go to index.js in order to change the status of the bot

Feel free to fork it, I don't really care

    Commands such as fox.js are very cool to the user and the code isn't too complicated

    Perhaps adding more commands like fox.js could be interesting and fun?

    I've noticed in the guides for discord.js and their own documentation/examples that they use a completely different (and potentially better) slash command handling system (https://discordjs.guide/interactions/slash-commands.html#replying-to-slash-commands)

    It seems to be modular and could potentially fix a bunch of issues that the current system has It may also be more advanced in general, and cleaner as well...

    Putting this issue here to just say that this is something I might be looking at doing, but this would result in basically a complete rewrite of all the code in the bot, so I'm not entirely sure. (If I do go with this, everything will be in a separate branch as to avoid any conflicts with the already working bot code)

    Currently on the fence of making the girlfriend reply into a command instead of just something that the bot constantly listens to. This would also fix the bug where using the ratio command makes the bot tell itself how to get some b's (idk if i'm allowed to say it, but to be safe, i will not say it)
