Overview

Libre Logos

Libre Logos is a library of free logos. The logos are intended for open source projects and NGOs.

Designers are invited to contribute.

The logo designs are meant to be unique, and there's no intention to steal creative property. If you find a logo that looks too similar to an existing brand, let me know so that it can be removed

Website

This website is built with Gatsby, a site generator based on React. The logo route is dynamically generated using the Gatsby createPage API. To stop the client side router serving the 404 page on /logo requests, there is a conditional check.

In the future, this website may be rewritten and architected to use of Gatsby's new File System Router API.

To build a local version:

Clone the repository

git clone https://github.com/PROTechThor/libre-logos.git

Enter the project folder and install node modules

cd libre-logos
npm install 
```
Run
- npm start to develop
- npm run build to build
- npm run serve to serve built site

Write a contributing guide
To invite designers to contribute their designs to the collection, it'll be helpful to have a contributing guide. It should include:

What counts as a good logo

Brief explanation of the structure of the project and where and how to add a logo to the collection

What sort of files are required

It's a compiler extension that enables styled components into Reason/ReScript, it's a similar port to http://emotion.sh/ into Reason and it brings a lot more features to its users, such as type-safe CSS and very fast compilation.

I'm opening the issue since I saw your post on reddit and was curious to see what you came up with, it's an ambitions project and I love the style of some of the ones you designed.

Many people after formatting the computer forget about which software they have installed, which is the best browser to use, which text editor to encode that program or even which version of the operating system they find to install on another computer. Instead of jumping from site to site in search of this information, I developed essentials, a web tool that shows through list; Softwares that are useful for your computer and that no longer need to stay in your head, so you can worry about other things.

Reconsider liscense

I think you should reconsider the your liscense choice as CC0 allows anyone to use your logos for anything.

This contradicts your concept of "giving" logos to open source projects and NGOs as they are already public domain and can hence can be used without claiming by anyone which cannot simply be revoked.
