Nested Sort is a vanilla JavaScript library, without any dependencies, which helps you to sort a nested list of items via drag and drop. Unfortunately, it does not support touch screens yet.

Using npm:

$ npm install nested-sort

Developer environment requirements

To run this project, you will need:

Node.js >= v14.15.5, use nvm - install instructions
NPM >= v7.22.0

Running tests

npm run test
npm run test:coverage
npm run test:watch

Dev mode

When developing you can run:

npm run watch

This will regenerate the build files each time a source file is changed and serve on http://127.0.0.1:3000.

You can navigate to http://127.0.0.1:3000/dev/ in order to see the samples.

The vulnerability was responsibly disclosed along with a fix in private by Robert McLaughlin from University of California, Santa Barbara.

In vulnerable versions of ws, the issue can be mitigated by reducing the maximum allowed length of the request headers using the --max-http-header-size=size and/or the maxHeaderSize options.

fixing the multi-instance placeholder list bug

The bug concerned all the lists on a multi-instance page which has had interactions before. In this case, when we dragged an item on a list in a way which caused an empty placeholder list being created on that list, a new empty placeholder list was created on every single list which has had interactions before (inside their last targetedNode) just because we did not reset the targetedNode after a drag finished.
