Contributing to open souce can be tuff especially to new contributors. it's hard to find new Orginations ,Reops and events and various programs . Torii helps you to find Open Source Events, Open Souce Programs and Various Open Souce Projects and Reops Where you can contribute: )

Try the App: Torii

🛠️ Installation Steps

Clone the repository

git clone https://github.com/tewarig/torii.git

Change the working directory

cd torii

Install dependencies

npm install

Create .env file in root and add your variables

REACT_APP_CLERK_FRONTEND_API="your clerk api "

Run the app

npm run start

You are all set! Open localhost:3000 to see the app.

Pull Requests are always welcome! If you wish to contribute using Github, you can work on any features or create one on your own. After adding your code, send us a Pull Request.

Please contribute using GitHub Flow. Create a branch, add commits, and open a pull request.

Well I would be mainting Torii on weekends , and I would be adding more features soon.

🐛 Bug fixed: link does not go to GitHub

The <Link> component causes it to go to https://toriii.vercel.app/https://github.com/tewarig/torii. I fixed it by replacing the Link component with an <a> tag

Crashing

Troii is crashing after 6 to 7 sec of opening. I have used "https://toriii.vercel.app/" in search bar and webapp opened successfully. But later on scrolling down within 6 to 7 seconds it is showing something went wrong message. Check the attachment below.

Fix the sign in and sign up links

Problem

When the user clicks on either of these links

It takes the user to https://accounts.47eps.xdtzz.lcl.dev/[signinOrSignup] instead of the main base URL

Solution

Go to your Clerk Dashboard, and open your App Settings (https://dashboard.clerk.dev/instances/{YOUR_INSTANCE}/url-settings)

In the URL & Redirects section, change the default settings to these
