You can open tomorrow's daily note using the following command: Tomorrow's Daily Note: Open tomorrow's daily note

Installing

Version 0.9.7 of Obsidian let's you install this plugin from within the app.

You can find the most up-to-date guides for installation here: https://help.obsidian.md/Advanced+topics/Community+plugins

Manual installation

  1. Clone this repo to the .obsidian/plugins/ directory of your vault
  2. Force reload Obsidian: View > Force Reload
  3. Enable the plugin in the Community plugins settings menu

    Take into account weekend when creating tomorrows dailiy note

    It would be nice to be able to skip the weekend when creating "tomorrow's daily note". For example, when creating tomorrows note on Friday, it should create one for Monday, adding the appropriate date to the file name.

    The plugin should have a checkbox setting with something similar to "skip Saturday and Sunday when creating tomorrows note".

    Thanks for the plug-in. It is very useful :)

  • Triggering command when the page already exists

    Triggering command when the page already exists

    It might be nice to just jump to the new page instead of throwing the "Unable to create new file." error if the command is triggered again.

    My workflow is to just jump to tomorrow's page (and create if it doesn't exist) using the command this plugin provides via a hotkey.

    EDIT: Looking at the source code it does seem like that it should go to the page if it already exists, however I get this:

    Thank you for this useful plugin. I have been looking for a way to create many future daily notes in one go. Could your plug in be extended so that one could, for example, create a week’s worth of daily notes in one go?
